30" New Hampshire Special French Favorite Pattern Axe Handle

Great coloring in this handle

Installing on a Bangor Maine Snow&Nealle 31/4 lb head. I like the larger handle as I abuse this equipment at times.

So far, so good.

I haven't hung the axe one this handle yet, but the handle looks good. I like the shape of the palm swell (grip), looks different and fits my arm length well. Handle is a bit thicker than I prefer and will have to thin it down a bit with a rasp and/or spokeshave. Grain orientation is excellent. Service from Beaver Tooth was excellent.

put a 3 pound j.f. richards 1857 axe head on this handle and it did not take much fitting to get on. the grain is very straight on the handle and looks great with the old axe head. the price is pretty good also.
