6' Section Kit (V1) - 36"

The reason I gave it 3 stars rather than 5 is the installation. The video made it look so easy. Attaching the rail to a 2x4 is indeed simple. However, attaching it to a concrete pad is something altogether different. The masonry bits that you provided were such poor quality that they each dulled after drilling two holes. Also, the holes were way too tight to get the anchors into the holes. It was next to impossible! The other frustration was dealing with the spindles. I installed the plastic inserts into each rail. When trying to push the stiles into the plastic inserts, sometimes they would get hung up and wouldn't slide easily into the inserts. Again, the video made this look so easy! Overall, it took us nearly 6 hours to install two rail sections. We have a third rail section left to go. Hindsight tells me that I should have put down pressure-treated 2x4s onto the concrete; then installed the rail systems onto the 2x4s. The lag bolts would have been so much easier to deal with than the concrete wedge anchors you provided. Hopefully, I will be able to successfully instal the third rail section tomorrow or the next day. This was a very frustrating installation today. Thank you for listening. -- Jerry Ferrari
