I purchased this as a weather guard for the seed cylinders and hoped it would also deter some of the Starlings from devouring them. No luck with the Starlings, but it works really well as a weather guard! As you'll see in the video, the height clearance is also high enough to allow a Red-headed Woodpecker to easily peck from above. I've also had a variety of birds use the cylinder and not be deterred by the cover- even Cardinals.
