Hyperfreak Tech 19" Boardshorts

Note that this is an early review, so I haven't put them through real use yet, but first impressions are strong. The fit runs true to size. They sit low on the hips, a classic board shorts fit, held by the drawcord rather than squeezing your waist, so there's very little waistband pressure. That is different from most athletic shorts I wear and is very comfortable. I have athletic thighs and they fit comfortably thanks to the stretch fabric and the roomier board short cut, with no pinching or restriction. It's rare for shorts to fit me well in both the waist and thighs, and I don't think they'd be too baggy on a more standard build either. The construction feels well thought out. The Hyperfreak Pro Stretch fabric has real 4-way give, the no-inseam design keeps anything from rubbing on the inner thigh, and the laser-cut leg hem means no stitching to chafe or fray. The laser-cut hem should be nice under a wetsuit. They dry quickly and feel good to wear while still wet, which is exactly what you want in and out of the water. The Hyperdry finish sheds water instead of soaking it up. So far, highly recommend.

The shorts are awesome! Great material and love the small side pocket! They do run large. I typically wear a 32 so I ordered a 32 and they are just a little big. Going to return for a 31.

Need bigger sizes. Flex waistband.
