Dodge Cummins Diesel - 3rd Gen Battery Cable Kit (2003-2009)

Very well made kit and clearly marked cables. I used Vgate terminals instead of the ones with the kit because I didn’t want all cables going to one mounting point. The kit could use clearer instructions about what to do with the factory wire harness that runs to the fuse box. Great idea at routing altenator wire to driver side battery. Overall, very happy and this kit should see this old truck out.

The package arrived quickly, but in rough shape which I expected for heavy cable sets in a cardboard box. The kit is well assembled. I noticed there weren't any detailed instructions/videos for the Cummins/Dodge applications. As noted in other reviews, this kit relocates the alt-to-bat line from the passenger's side to the driver's side battery which should solve the issue with a bad crossover cables ending in a boiled passenger battery. It doesn't include a new line, or at least terminal end, to allow for the connector to the ECM from the PDC so I had to cut the factory one off the stock harness so I could crimp on a new terminal end to get power back to the ECM. The lack of specific guidelines as well as lack of provisions for getting power back to the ECM is the reason for 4/5 stars. The listing also says that it comes with a fuse block and extra fuses, but I only received the singular 300A fuse and fuse block. Not sure if it was meant to come with spare fuses.

The kit for the Dodge Cummins Diesel - 3rd Gen Battery Cable Kit (2003-2009) is put together very well. The quality of the work is undeniable and I am very happy with my purchase. My gripes would be the instructions on this particular kit - They change the battery that gets the alternator lead and it includes a small postcard explaining this... No pictures for routing or suggested install, even on the website. Second, the grid heater cables were not included, on either side of the truck. These, in my opinion, should have been included. Overall, not a perfect kit, but very well made and the performance after install is noticeable.
