The strainer was supposed to come with a drip plate but did not. It needs some kind of brewing vessel designed to work with it.

the material is a little fragile, but it's very beautiful. no issues as long as I'm cautious with it, which I plan to be. works perfectly for holding tea. Fits into my little tea pot. love it
