It is a very difficult grinder to set up because it uses a built-in scale to measure the weight, which makes it quite complicated and not very stable. To position the portafilter, you have to tighten it with an Allen key, and that does not work very well. Overall, I would not recommend it.

Tony was a tremendous help and expertly answered all of my questions. I really appreciate the time that he took with me to compare various models and am very happy with my decision! The grinder is a solid piece of equipment and is very high quality. It's nice to grind to the gram rather than do a timed grind and then have to weigh. Since filled hoppers are easily swapped, I ordered a couple of extras and now can have a few varieties on hand. I really like the contemporary styling. I also notice that when viewing the Baratza from the front, as it currently sits on my counter, that the focus is on the "business end" of the machine, and the dramatic styling becomes more subdued, enhancing the Baratza's look.
