English Gardens, Victorian society and magic!
A promising series, with the right dosage of Victorian era constraints. A fine lady botanist pondering a mysterious new vine, her uncles forming a scandalous couple, a snotty lord more annoyed by the damage to his garden than the death of a worker, his sister, a young, creative widow kept prisoner... and not one, but two dragons !
All those ingredients mix up a rollicking good yarn, and a most satisfactory reading!

I love the idea of pixie dragons (and origami pixie dragons). And the main character who is a botanist, appropriately named "Fern", is delightful. She has a good heart!

Great introduction to Fern, her uncles, and hopefully her future friends. Looking forward to book 2.
