VNM Direct Drive Xtreme Wheelbase

an upgrade from my SC2 Pro

Had been curious about trying a base that has a telemetry FFB mode. I’m not happy with the direction Simucube is headed with the SC3 so after watching Dan Suzuki’s review, I decided on the VNM Extreme. Absolutely love it compared to my SC2 Pro. It’s not a huge difference, but very noticeable in the detail in road feel and especially the additional connection I feel to the front tires. I have barely played with TIC mode and the telemetry FFB, but this is already made me super happy I upgraded. VNM bases are now my default recommendation. Period. I understand what Dan and RBM were talking about.

Coming from an SC2 Pro, this base has genuinely surprised me. It matches the SC2 in all FFB areas (if not surpasses it) with a more natural feel across most cars and games. The telemetry setting is game‑changing. The UI isn’t the most intuitive among the major players, but it’s still easy enough to work with. Games I’ve tested so far include RF2, AC, ACC, iRacing, and RBR. The base absolutely shines in ACC, a title that has always lacked feel for me with other hardware. In RF2, most of my experience has been with the KartSim mods, and tire scrub is extremely noticeable, around 90% accurate compared to real life, in my opinion. iRacing feels on par with the SC2 straight out of the box using the recommended settings from the VNM website. I also run a 4” extension and notice zero flex or loss of FFB detail.

Incredible wheelbase. Endgame. I am very impressed.
