It is worth it, buy with the Rig

Honestly, I don't know why I waited to buy this - it would have been much easier to install while I was building the rig originally. That being said, I still installed it relatively quickly. Everything is high quality and the plates are super thiccc. It helps to lock the wheels when tightening the locknuts.

Easily worth the money

I didn't really want to pay this much for a caster kit but heard from multiple people that they tried to cheap out and ended up regretting it. I bit the bullet and got the real ones here. I am so beyond glad I did. These things are absolutely legit. The wheels are a really nice soft material that didn't mess up the floor, the plates and hardware are solid, the locking plates for the casters work great. With them unlocked it's a breeze to move, with them locket it's planted and solid. I could not be happier.

Got this kit so I could roll the rig out of the "public" space of the house when needed. Also, it just makes things easier when assembling and adjusting the rig. I deviated from the instructions and put the two front wheels inboard of the side rails, so I could slide the front of the rig under my desk. Rear wheels are still outboard. I have no stability issues but of course this will vary per rig. Very nice. The casters all by themselves are worth the money. I like that all the RigMetal stuff is low-key. No screaming logos and wild colors.
