BlackVue Mounting Tape

This product should be discontinued. First, the tape isn’t the same size as the original mounting tape that came with the dash camera when I bought it years ago. It could be because of a design change, but I’m not sure. However, after a few days in the heat, this replacement BlackVue mounting tape failed, causing my dash cam to fall from my windshield. I never had that problem with the original tape on my old car. I don’t believe the issue was with the glass or dash cam, as I followed the same steps as the original mounting tape. In my opinion, it’s a waste of $10, and you’d be better off getting some 3M double-sided tape.
