Good protection but not ideal for sleeping

Overall the leak protection on all the styled I purchased was wonderful. The gusset never felt like a diaper despite going all the way up to the waist. The bamboo fabric was buttery soft and these never felt damp so I actually only wore 1 per day vs other brands where I go through 2-3. Cons: the stitching on the side and inseam is weirdly scratchy compared to the softness of the bamboo. Overall I found it irritating for sleep and it was thick enough it showed through fitted clothes. Ask: would love these in a higher waist.

Almost Perfect

These are amazing - soft, HIGHLY absorbent, with great details - with one significant exception: the waistband is insane. I always wear an XS or 0/2 in size and my measurements are 24in waist & 34in hip. I am solidly in the lower range of the XS on the size chart (and I also got an XS in the cali that fit well). The charlie underwear fit perfectly (appropriately snug) in the legs and hips, but the waistband is REALLY tight. I saw a few other reviews state this, but I've never had something fit my hips but also be too small in the waist, so I expected it wouldn't be a problem for me. It's workable, but uncomfortable, and I won't wear them to sleep and will not order another pair for this reason. If I were to size up, I expect they would be too big in the hips/legs. If you have similar measurements to me, I cannot recommend these but do recommend the cali style. Super disappointing because I would love to get more of these with a normal waistband.
