The boots are easy to put on. My Welsh Terrier appeared to be comfortable and unencumbered. The soft leather sole is flexible, allowing him to feel the terrain. One or two boots have come off while he romps in the snow. I will try to fasten the Velcro tighter next time. Deep snow tends to get trapped in the cuff above the Velcro fastener. The boots are soft, pliable, and require minimal effort to put on. They are great for very cold, icy, salty conditions. Perhaps not the best in deep snow.
