Camouflage

My go-to for the foreseeable future.

I really like this stuff. It has a decent hold and a good thickness to it while retaining some of the natural feel of my beard. My barber used this stuff when blow dry straightening my beard and it held nicely and left my beard feeling soft compared to like 3 others I've tried. The review about it smelling like a band-aid or medical supplies is hilariously accurate, however I personally honestly did not find the smell to be that strong or off-putting and find that the smell actually dissipates over time. I would also want a balm that has a lighter scent to it. I love wearing cologne and avoid scented balms so that they do not clash. Would be really cool to have a "Lightly Scented" version of some of your products.

I expected more

I love the name, the story and background of Chattanooga Beard Co. However, both products I purchased didn't live up to my hopes and expectations. I purchased Camouflage beard balm having previously bought Clean Slate beard balm. I did so as a way to not have such an overpowering fragrance as I did with Clean Slate. Although Clean Slate smells exceptionally pleasant it's just too overpowering. For beard balms, I am looking for a medium to strong hold and a very, nearly minimal hint of fragrance. I would prefer not to have such a strong fragrance directly under my nose all day long. I like to wear cologne but with Clean Slate it's a clash of fragrance and it became just too much. Camouflage did not solve the problem. To be blunt, it smells like first aid kit, specifically a bandaid. It's understandable that a balm that claims of having no fragrance will have a hint of smell from the bee's wax, oils along with other ingredients but this felt deliberate in smelling like bandaids. Also, the hold isn't really there as Id hoped. What I do like from Chattanooga beard Co was the prompt delivery, packaging, portion size and overall price. In a perfect world of beard products I would love the hold of a pamade but the smoothness of a balm. Just as important, a very, very, very light scent of vanilla or a citrus scent similar to an IPA. Minimal smell, maximum hold. Thank you kindly for your time and consideration. I trust that you will continue to improvise adapt and overcome.
