Flex It 90 works great for our factories needs, we use it to make industrial cush drive bushings for our machines... it took us some serious R&D to get the castings to come out the way that we wanted them to, but in the end it worked out. For anyone just getting this stuff here are some suggestions to help you minimize trial and error and get good parts the first try without wasting material. 1 - Use clear plastic cups and a clear plastic knife to mix, the moisture in the seams of paper coffee cups caused us problems. 2 - keep mold between 70 - 80 deg f no more and no less 3 - measure equal parts a and b with a digital scale that is very accurate, we use an Ohaus 4 - mix contents in new containers before using, these chemicals separate and settle and will give you inconsistent results if not mixed when new before using. 5 - degas parts a and b at the same time but in separate containers 6- transfer part b into a new unused cup, then pour in part a at an angle to reduce air entrapment. 7 - gently stir until you start to feel the cup getting hot in your hand, once the exothermic reaction has started stir for a additional 20 seconds and then immediately pour into your mold. we had several failed parts from not stirring after the exothermic reaction had started, it was like the reaction would die off, so once you feel it get hot, mix a little longer. One final note, this product absolutely does not have a 3 minute working time, in practice it is less than 2, so you have to get in and get it done quick! There is not enough time to degas parts a and b after they have been mixed, not even close. All that being said, after we ironed out these details we are getting consistent castings and they are very strong and very durable. Its a good product!
