Comfort, Capacity, and a Better Fit: My Early Take on the Epic Travel Jacket
I recently tried the Epic Travel Jacket for Women and, even with limited wear so far, I can already tell it’s a thoughtfully designed piece. While I haven’t had the chance to travel with it yet, I have used it running errands and on casual outings, and my first impressions are very positive—especially if you’re someone who values staying organized and keeping things hands-free.
As many reviewers suggested, I paid close attention to sizing. My usual size is Large, but I had previously sized up to an XL for the Chloe Hoodie. Even then, I found that once the pockets were filled, it felt a bit snug. With that in mind, I sized up again to an M1 for this jacket—and I’m really glad I did. The looser fit is far more comfortable, especially when the pockets are loaded and you’re carrying extra weight across your shoulders.
I also appreciate how lightweight and comfortable the jacket feels. The fabric is breathable, soft, and easy to wear for extended periods. Compared to the Chloe Hoodie, the material feels noticeably more flexible and less stiff, which makes a big difference in overall comfort.
That said, there are a few things to keep in mind. The price is on the higher side, so it’s definitely an investment. And once you start making full use of the pockets, the jacket can feel heavier than expected—although the design does a good job of distributing that weight so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Because I sized up from my usual Large to an M1, I did need to have the sleeves shortened by a tailor. That’s something to consider if you plan to size up for comfort, especially if you’re particular about fit.
Overall, based on my initial experience, I think this jacket has the potential to become a great go-to—especially in warmer weather. It strikes a nice balance between comfort, practicality, and thoughtful design, and I’m looking forward to putting it to the test on future trips.
