I had my ears peirced around 1998 at a store in the local mall that used a piercing gun. They have never really been good piecings, and they get really sensitive to earrings. I tried many different metals, to no avail. My ears would get red, swollen and itchy after 10 minutes of wearing earrings, so I simply stopped wearing them. I bought this product because it was on sale and I figured it would probably be good for other ailments, not thinking I would use it for my ears. Recently, I felt like I wanted to try wearing earrings again, so my plan was to buy a pair of 14k gold 'huggies' and use this oil on the piercings to see what would happen. At first, I could only get the little hoops through one ear--which got irritated and swollen. I couldn't even get the earring through the other ear. I used sterile saline and this oil on both, daily. After a few days I was finally able to get both earrings through, with the goal of just leaving these little earrings in all the time. Imagine my surprise when a day or two after getting both earrings in, and using this oil, my ears stopped hurting, they stopped swelling, they literally feel 100% healed. I honestly thought that this whole operation was a fool's endeavor, that I was just never going to be able to wear earrings. I can't believe that I have been wearing these little hoops for over a week now, completely comfortably. It's kind of a dream-come-true.
