Fairly underwhelmed

Purchased the bike about a month ago originally wanting a freewheel option, unaware that this is a fixie and would cost over £70 to to convert - the latter of which was a bit of a shock so I chose to make do. This is minor however, the real disappointment are the brakes. When I put the bike together they felt quite loose and unresponsive, I thought this may have been due to how I put things together, but having taken it to a mechanic to tighten them up, they told me that they were quite poor, and have since regressed again. Another small thing, but after two rides, the handlebar grip completely loosened and now swivels freely, which is quite annoying on rides. Customer service is responsive and informative, but fairly underwhelmed overall.

Great bike for London roads

I wanted a bike with hub gear, with its advantages of low maintenance, static change of gear and avoidance of trouser damage! So I bought the 7 speed version. An additional advantage with the shimano gear is back-pedal braking, giving extra stopping power. I grew up partly in Denmark, so I'm familiar with this feature. The bike handles well and gear change is seamless.
