Exactly what I was hoping for!

My amp arrived quickly. I followed the 2020 Outback install YouTube video which made it a breeze. I do wish the graphics on the instructions were more clear about which ends of the harness were male/female since some might get confused by which connectors go where. I figured it out after some trial and error. The included double sided adhesive worked great. I kept the gain at 50% since I don’t really care what volume level my car is at. There is a note in the instructions that’s says the power available does not depend on the gain setting so that gave me confidence to leave it as is. I also installed my p300-12 sub using the outputs and remote turn on wire. At first the remote wire seemed to always have 12v but after googling Subaru turns this on/off using the can-bus so the key had to be away from the car or locked for a period of time before the 12v powers off. It would’ve been nice to know this since it made me suspect that the remote wire was the wrong one but this is very specific to my vehicle but just want the next folks to know that. Okay let’s talk sound! The factory speakers definitely are not the best you can buy that being said there was a very noticeable difference not just in the loudness but in clarity and depth. More bass was present even without the subwoofer. The sound was overall fuller and clearer which was a nice surprise since I was at least just hoping for it to be a little better and an easy way to connect my subwoofer. My previous car had an aftermarket Kenwood radio which I miss the ability to fine tune the sound but the factory radio gives enough options to get it just right. If that your thing I would recommend getting the model up from this so you can really dial in the sound although at the time of this review the outback was not already dialed in so that’s why I went with the ENA-3S1. If you’re on the fence about this don’t be. This will make your car sound better!
