I use the closeup filter with the 1.33x anamorphic and I absolutely love it. The filter gives a nice blurred background behind the subject and the depth of field is not very restrictive at all. Meaning that I can leave the filter on when moving from closeups to mediums to 3/4 or "cowboy" shots. I was a little worried I'd have to be changing the filter a lot while shooting, but that is not the case. If you're shooting anamorphic on the smartphone, you need this. No question.
