Had a new metal standing seam roof put on and because there were no screws like the old roof had, the snow and ice moved faster off of the roof. I discovered these great products online and purchased and installed them on the roof. Have not had snow or ice since. They are relatively easy to install. I did not purchase the color gard strips because I wanted to use my roof scraps to have an exact matching color. 20/20 hindsight I would have been better off getting some color samples to see how they matched. Bottom line, if you cut your own they can be a 1/16th under 2 inches but no more. Over two and they won’t slide.
