It was a gift for a friend. He couldn’t get the gyroscope to start tried the string, his hand , his thumb. Another person tried as well and said they had the same experience.

Great product, even after 20 years.

I bought my first Powerball in 2007. It was an awesome product. I wanted a new one, so I decided to try the EDGE Edition. It also works great. I'm happy that DFX hasn't lowered their production standards over the years. If you are interested in gyro exercisers, give DFX a try. You won't be disappointed.

Hard to start. String on second loop around falls off and jams in either the LED side or the spindle on the other. Twice I thought I've broken it with a stuck string. I'd recommend getting the electric starter maybe.
