Light Kit for Disney Castle 43222

WORST DIRECTIONS EVER!

We bought this kit knowing, based on previous reviews, that it would take A LOT OF PATIENCE to properly set up the lights. Little did we know that the instructions were a recipe for disaster! We probably would have been better off with no instructions. There is no wording...just pictures. You spend a few minutes matching the picture to the actual castle and then you take apart VERY TINY Lego pieces to put the wiring and then struggle to put it back together. Next step...You realize that you shouldn't have put it back together because you have to keep going. We thought we were smarter than the average bear but apparently not. We handed everything over to an actual rocket scientist (he worked on the Apollo 11 mission) and he spent a couple days patiently working on this thing. He came back with the same result. DO NOT BUY...Not worth it! I always say to my wife that people pay for stupidity. We did by purchasing this item.

Pretty but difficult and wires are exposed

I’ve wired many Lego sets but none were as difficult as this one. One extension wire broke out of the pin connector, thankfully I had a backup. This Lego site is so delicate to begin with. I found the instructions to be challenging and the wires to be very difficult to work with. Throughout the set wires are exposed. I have another set to light and hope it is not as difficult to this one. I really enjoy lighting up the Lego sets this one had me hating on Lego and the light design.

Amazing when you are finished, you just need to be very patient :)

Game of Bricks has amazing customer support! I purchased the Disney Castle light kit for my daughter for Christmas. We worked on it slowly over the last year and a half as she was in college and not home to work on it consistently. We kept at it and at two different times we needed a couple of replacement pieces as we broke 2 wires. Every time we emailed Game of Bricks, the response time was amazing and quickly sent replacement parts. I was amazed when it was done and the castle lit up... however there was a problem with the sound. My daughter reached out again and they troubleshooted with her and ultimately sent her replacement pieces for the whole sound component free of charge . The sound then worked perfectly. This company has great service and they stand behind their product. You have to be patient, setting up these light kits takes time, but in the end it is quite something. Highly recommend Game of Bricks if you are purchasing a light kit for one of your Lego creations!
