Scorpion Pack

One major flaw in it.

Received the pack and was stoked. Till I tried to remove the removable hip belt then I realized it had two flaws, one was the part which was sewn down, secondly and the most fatal flaw, is the piece of black molle strap stopping the buckles from being removed due to it being non stretchable to allow it to pass through. Do I have to resort to cutting it in order to remove the so called removable belt?
