This was my first Matterly rug. I like that the materials used to make this are safe - it was the biggest factor that went into my decision to buy this rug. The second biggest factor is that it is American made. I have no problem paying more for a quality, American made product! I replaced another rug with this Matterly rug, because my previous rug’s backing was latex AND it was disintegrating. We were unknowingly breathing in the dust, and I had been wondering why we consistently had some minor respiratory issues. I even got the house radon/mold tested - nope, wasn’t that! I threw out the old rug, cleaned the area, and got this one from Matterly. I am so far very happy with the rug - and no more breathing issues! It is being used in an office with a computer chair that sits atop. The chair moves and doors open/close over the rug with ease. It stays in place over my hardwood floor. I hope Matterly comes up with additional designs because I did have a hard time finding a design that would fit well in my house. Overall, I think this is a great product and would buy it again!
