The Wide Grizzly 450 Cold Plunge

So far, so good!

The Desert Plunge product has been excellent thus far. Easy to setup up, maintains temp very good. Didn’t realize how inconvenient ice really was. Set it and forget it! Couple things to help buyers: shipping for me was freight/trailor and setup of tub is only one way on one side.

Quality and performance

I started my cold plunge journey about a year ago and had been very interested in the desert plunge design. I am currently more than satisfied with my 450 wide, my wife and I enjoy the quality daily and recommend it to everyone we know. 450 Wide Boy!

I went ahead and bought the Wide Grizzly 450, which I guess officially makes me a “widebody” in the eyes of Desert Plunge. The extra width is clutch — I’m not wedged in there like a trout in a too‑small cooler. I can sit cross‑legged, stretch out, and actually relax while freezing myself into a better human. It cools fast, holds temp like a champ, and feels built for people who live in places where the horizon is 400 miles wide and so are our shoulders. Setup was easy. Water stays clean. I plunge every day now like some kind of ranch‑adjacent wellness influencer. If you’re on the fence about size, just embrace your inner Montana widebody and go big. We don’t do “narrow” out here anyway.
