Love soft Donegal!

I purchased Soft Donegal in Snow for Linda Courtney’s Venturer’s Vest. I like using the designer’s preference for yarn when I’m using a new pattern. I love this yarn! It’s sturdy, but so SOFT. I had this in my stash, but I soon realized I didn’t have enough. I knew Wooly Thistle would have it! Thanks so much! Love you all! I never miss a podcast!

Beautiful and Soft, Just Like The Name

Way back in June, one a trip to Ireland, I purchased a sweater quantity of Studio Donegal Soft Donegal at This Is Knit in Dublin with plans to make the Magnolia Bloom Cardigan pattern by Camila Vad. Unfortunately, I underestimated the amount of yarn I would need to add a steek panel to the project and it became evident I was going to run out of this precious yarn. Wooly Thistle to the rescue! Not only did they have the skein I needed, can you imagine my delight when it arrived and I realized it was the exact same dye lot as the yarn I’d purchased in Ireland 4 months prior? I merrily finished the cardigan and now I am on the hunt to find the perfect buttons! Unfortunately, when I try to post a photo I am told that I am trying to upload too many photos at a time, but I only have the one. 😂 But, it is a lovely, soft garment in a gorgeous “Donegal Sky,” blue and I will happily wear it for years to come.
