Kästle MX-83 skis (used) for nearly $600, their condition is shocking. The entire surface—skis and bindings—is covered in deep scratches, gouges, and scuffs. The edges have small, jagged curls of lifted metal, like a poorly cut sheet of steel, sharp enough to catch a finger. The bases are pitted, scraped, and worn down, showing no sign of proper reconditioning. These skis shouldn’t be priced based on a retail markdown. The first thought is, Wow, almost half off expensive skis! But with this level of wear, they aren’t just “discounted”—they’re degraded. At best, they should be a quarter of the original price, not half. Selling them at this price is unacceptable
