Turns all-black in 3 weeks.

This is my second leather case from Keyway. The first was “slate.” It had about a week of patina before it just turned black. So I bought the whiskey one. It had about 3 weeks of patina before it too just became an almost-black brown. . I’m pretty sure these are likely just chemically treated so it gives you a patina early but then just keeps going until it becomes black. Does not at all behave nor age like natural leather.

I love this phone case. Always used Apple’s first party case in the past, and that’s because it was a classy experience. The logo on the back did help the aesthetics too. I truly believe everything about this case is an improvement over that first party experience, the leather is nicer, more robust, and takes a patina better. Also, the X logo on the back just looks nicer than the stamped logo or logo-less leather cases. Less empty.
