EZ-HELM™

Overall I really like it. When I first incorporated neck training into my routine, I bought a cheap neck harness from Amazon. It worked well enough for me to see the benefit of the training but it was really uncomfortable to use. A year or so later I upgraded to a better neck harness. It cost more, was better built but didn’t make the training anymore comfortable. I tried both with free weights hanging from a chain as well as connected it to my pulley tower… effective but not comfortable and somewhat limited degrees of motion. When I saw the Kensui Ez-Helm neck trainer I figured I’d try it. It's significantly more comfortable fit. I like the free weights on my head rather than hanging from a chain. It just feels more natural with more degrees of freedom for working my neck. Since the weight is attached to my head, I can do neck extension and flexion in a single motion rather than one exercise at a time, so it saves me time (an unexpected and welcome bonus.)I don’t know how it would handle really heavy weight, probably a harness with a chain would be better for that, but that’s not my use case. Currently,I’m using 5 kg for warming up and 10 kg for my working sets. For that, it works really well. Before buying it, I was concerned about its construction and durability. Now that I have it, I can say that it feels stout. I can’t imagine it breaking under my use. Sure, I’ll eventually wear out the pads and strap, but those are easily replaced.

Best head and neck strength system around.

I've used traditional head harnesses with the D-rings and chains systems for neck and head and those are good. The EZ Helm is amazing. If you have neck issues, are involved in a combat sport, or just care about your head and neck health or posture in general this the best option. You can use weights and bands in a better way than the D-ring and chain can. I've seen the "head halo thing" but you can only use that in a gym setting with a cable system. Also the EZ-Helm can worn while working out or doing day to day activities. You can literally improve your neck, head and posture health while watching TV. Other products do a good job while the EZ-Helm is the best option.

Great piece of equipment! Ez-helm helped a lot develop / strengthen my neck muscles. I do much grappling so the equipment came in handy to supplement my training. Besides that, the helm is super convenient and clunky like other neck harnesses out there. I’d certainly say with confidence that I’m an ez-helm power user now. Thanks again!
