A beautifully shot and inspiring biopic
Film: 3.5/5
I can normally only tolerate opera in small doses yet I honestly had no major issues digesting this film and its numerous operettic moments, likely thanks to the beautiful cinematography and the equally beautiful story being told. Very well acted and constructed, it keeps you engaged all the way. Happy to recommend to those who enjoy a good biopic, drama or...opera, of course!

Very enjoyable biography
I am a big opera fan, but don’t know a lot about Marjorie Lawrence. I have no idea how accurate the movie is in portraying her story, but it’s very well done. Eleanor Parker is always a pleasure and she does a great job lip synching to Eileen Farrell’s amazing vocals.

One Of Eleanor Parker's Best Performances - Finally Available on Bluray
I've always been a fan of Interrupted Melody. It is classic MGM fare. The restoration from Warner Archive is exceptional. The movie sounds and looks exquisite. Highly recommended.
