Bought an original clear Gameboy Color from Japan. Was super excited to play with it, but found the original screen to be far too dim. This IPS screen fixed that, and now I play my Gameboy color all the time!

I just dropped this LCD kit into my crusty old Game Boy Color and I think I can see into the fifth dimension. Before this, I was playing in the dark, tilting my screen at a 42.5-degree angle under a flickering streetlamp just to see a single pixel of Pikachu’s tail. Now? This screen is so bright it’s basically a miniature sun held together by plastic and nostalgia.
