Love these
Perfect for securing my garden felt in the borders. These hammer in easily and will mulch down eventually. Much better than using metal garden staples.

Bamboo pegs and Herdwick wool mulch mats
I liked the wool mats, thick and substantial, pre-cut to the centre so were easy to place around the plants - I used the round mats, 40cm diameter for shrubs and 20cm for perennials. I did use the bamboo pegs , which are worth having to stop wind blowing mats away, but they do not have much of a 'hook', so I slanted them across the mat rather than using them like pins to hold it down. Then I put ordinary organic mulch around the plants (bark) to hide and weigh down the mats. I like that the wool will rot & add nutrients to the soil after it has done the job of suppressing weeds.

Bamboo skewers
Bought these to use with some Jute mulch matting I purchased through Chimney Sheep. Totally useless, too short and flimsy. Difficult to push through the mulch matting. If you have stony ground its next to impossible to insert into the ground. They need to be twice as long and twice(or more) as sturdy. Bought some stainless steel pins to do the job instead.
