Love these spikes

Really helping keep my more sensitive plants damper in this ongoing drought. Only issue is I feel water evaporates quickly from the terracotta top so it maybe better to paint the top with non toxic waterproof paint or oil before using. I'm drying mine out now and will cost the tops with tung oil before replanting them.

I love these spikes. Such a great idea. My only worry is that the water may be evaporating out of the terracotta faster than it is leaching into the soil and I wonder if the tops should be painted to prevent this. Also 2 broke at the top when I pushed them into the soil so you have to be careful.

After buying a budget version elsewhere (won’t be doing that again) I took the plunge and invested in these. Amazing quality, save lots of time watering, especially in this crazy weather and I know the water is getting right to the roots of the plants. I will be purchasing more
