Cacao Nibs

Just what I wanted.

Several years ago I bought some chocolate nibs at Trader Joe’s. After Six months they discontinued the product. I tried buying them at Amazon, but their nibs included stems and dirt. At local health food stores i found bags of chocolate nibs that had been crushed and winnowed to remove the stems and dirt, by Kakosi, a company right here in Lynn, Ma. I started ordering from them directly, But Apparently, last year, they went out of business. Online I found Ritual Chocolate and ordered two bags of nibs from them. I am completely satisfied with their product, which has clearly been winnowed too. I add the chocolate nibs to my morning cold cereals, to my afternoon yogurt snacks, and to my bedtime vanilla ice cream. Chocolate nibs are small pieces of pure cacao, full,of antioxidants, iron, magnesium, and fiber. Eaten alone they are bitter, but added to other foods they are crunchy and chocolaty. I hope Ritual Chocolate stays in business for the next ten years. I see that one of the original partners has left.
