Exactly What I Needed

My heeler refuses to lay down in the car because he doesn’t feel stable on the seat. I was traveling with them to San Diego and that’s a 12 hour drive, this came just in time and was exactly what I needed. He still stood, but he was able to stabilize himself and lay down after a while. My other dog also threw up halfway into the drive and this was really easy to clean! Washability is perfect. It also collected the sand from their paws from the dog beach rather than getting all over the car.

I sprung for this backseat extender when I got a different car, unhappy with my sling style hammock that slid all around in my backseat. We have a very anxious dog and the new backseat set up (with the dog bed added) is a game changer. The boxiness of it combined with the tinted windows creates a little cave back there for him. He doesn't slitch all around and is physically closer to me. He pops his little head through the zip down window and I can pet him. The seat anchors I really like--not in all back seat extenders, esp the cheaper ones. He is much calmer riding in the car now. LOVE the backseat extender. Worth it!
