XKG Down Transition Jacket

Great fit, perfect weight

I bought down jackets from multiple "big name" hunting companies. This is the one that didn't get returned. The weight is great, and the fit is exactly what I was looking for. I also like the fact that it zips into it's own pocket vs. a stuff sack.

XKG Down Transition Jacket

I added this jacket to my western hunting wardrobe as a warmer option to the standard Transition jacket in preparation for some colder weather hunts this fall. It is well made, lightweight and packable. Got a great price on a clearance color! I love Kings Camo for its quality and fair price. In the XKG series I also have 3 jackets, rain gear, and 2 pants (Lone Peak for colder weather, but the Preacher is my go-to all around pant - knee pads are key). Keep up the great work Kings!

Layering gets the job done

As Kings Camo suggests this jacket is best used in extreme cold conditions as a mid layer with an outer wind protection jacket over the top. I use my Kings Camo Climatex Rain Jacket as my outer layer. This combination gets the job done. The down insulation is terrific! It's not as heavy as my ski jacket but it's bright red so the ski patrol can find me. For hunting I much prefer the stealth green of my Transition Jacket and give it my five star rating.
