As always, I made a few changes to the VFT pattern, such as adding a 1” strip of interfacing on the back bodice strip for the buttons and buttonholes. However I loved the design and it was a hit with my granddaughter!

Such a classic pattern staple!

I made my daughter a solid colored dress with this Charlie pattern, and it turned out so fantastic! Thank you for an excellent pattern!

Charlie Dress pattern

I am an experienced maker and had no problem with the pattern and have seen several other patterns from this site as well. This is a cute dress! My granddaughter wanted an ankle length dress for Christmas, so I simply extended the skirt length If I make this pattern again, I will make the ends of the ties (where it is seen into the front bodice) much narrower so that it will tie easier and make a prettier knot. I also think that your patterns would better serve beginning makers by identifying center backs or fronts (depending on whether it is a front or back closure) and providing a button/button hole guide- both simple but useful additions to the pattern
