Exactly want was needed. My only suggestions would be to have a cover over the AC input (to prevent it from accidently being unplugged) and increase the battery capacity to 48 hours (currently lasts about 8 hours).

This pill dispenser is a game changer! Super easy to set up, and my mother loves it. No more text and call reminders... the dispenser tells her it is time to take them, she tilts the dispenser, myself and my siblings are notified. She has not missed a pill since I set this up. If you're thinking about investing in this -- DO IT. It is not that expensive, and gives invaluable peace of mind.
