They work well, directions could be improved but the product itself is great. They deploy when a door is opened on whatever side. When the doors are unlocked using the fob both sides will deploy. When locked using fob they do retract.

Tying the contol into the “can bus” makes things really easy compared to the magnets used with other brands. The fit of the steps when folded in is a bit of an angle against the jeep. I suppose some spacers are necessary to get it closer and better aligned. Both left and right side have a big gap towards the back.
