frequency range

.. would not be fair to compare it with a nakamichi or a sony walkman pro, but: the upper end of the frequencies is too high, sound is too sharp, harsh (maybe you wanted to compensate the poor frequencies in the upper region) strangely also with the unit playing with no tape or an empty tape. the background noise is quite high with a significant "tone" at ca. 319Hz = d#4
