As a true wool aficionado and wool miser, I absolutely love them and I'm watching closely to order 2 more pair when you have my size again. I've been wearing them daily for about 2 months in the field as a surveyor all over Pennsylvania. I had to re-sew the seam below the fly, and the stitching on the pockets came out. All this stitching is superficial, hopefully. Small thorns from plants such as blackberry shoots will pull small threads from the pants. I simply singe them with a lighter. But there are no other pants like these. I'm wearing them all summer in the field. Aside from being warm in direct sun, these pants breath and stretch as if they weren't made of wool. There is no thermal quality to these pants otherwise. Perhaps comparable to denim. I have no idea what people are talking about saying they're warm, but with cotton long johns, they are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. I wear them unlined in the summer heat and in the shade and wind, they feel like mesh pants. They breath and dry wonderfully. They repel dirt/mud and RARELY require washing. These will be my only warm weather pants for life. I'm 5'8" 190 lbs athletic, and I ordered my regular size 36X30. When I ordered a size up, as suggested, they were way too big. Its hit or miss with sizing. Find the right size and I guarantee you're sold on these warm weather pants.

Great pants, but zero customer service
Love these pants, had trouble finding something that was durable for backcountry hunting. Great fit and rugged especially when you are scrambling and bushwhacking. I’d like to buy a few more pairs, however I’ve sent them a half dozen messages both via email and on various social media platforms over the past year and never gotten a response.

Good light weight wool pant
sized up to a 38 as I usually wear a 36 and the advice to upsize was spot on. These pants look good and hopefully will hold up even better. Looking forward to wearing these later in October in the Inland NW mountains, rivers and everywhere in between. Have my sights on a few other Johnson products as the quality is top notch and made in USA is the only way to go.
