Serendipity Hybrid Sweet Corn F1

First sweet corn crop!

I've never grown corn, and silly me chose a late season planting. Had great germination....then the dreaded army worms hit it hard. When it first started showing issues, I literally thought I had burned them up with fertilizer. By the time I realized it was the worms, there was a lot of damage. I sprayed three good times with Spinosad and got them knocked out. Even though the plants recovered, they seem to be stunted. Luckily it's producing ears of corn! I'm so excited! I'll definitely spray the Spinosad again once the silks appear.
