Discovery 45L Backpack in Meadow Purple

A bit disappointing

With all the great ratings, I had high hopes of this bag to replace my 10+ year old Eagle Creek travel backpack. I will hold on to my Eagle Creek. This bag is described as a 45L so I anticipated fitting the same amount or more clothing in it. Not so. There is too much padding to the construction - I am packing clothes, not breakables. The shoulder straps are nice and I appreciate the is no waist belt since it is not needed when in transit. I wish that the 'office' cell of this bag was less of a concern and that space could be used for clothing. The compression straps are very difficult to adjust. I like to travel for pleasure both domestically and abroad and will pack minimally. This would be the only bag I take on a trip seven days or less. I have just finished a five day trip to Phoenix - the bag's trial run - and would return it if I could. I need more function than this bag presents.
