An All-Court Paddle with Surprising Power

The Supercourt is an interesting paddle. It did not initially agree with me, took me a couple of weeks of tinkering and adjusting, and I think I finally dialed it in another week later. It played ok stock for me, but my shots were inconsistent, mostly due to the amount of pop it has when hitting or missing the sweetspot; I'll have games I play really good, and then I'll get games where I cannot keep the ball down. All my problems went away after putting some weight on it. I ended up putting 17g of weighted tape on it, and it transformed the paddle for me, becoming my main for the next few months. With weight, I finally felt connect with the paddle; the ball response was perfect, crisp without being harsh, the sweetspot became bigger and more suited to my preference (I tend to hit higher up on the paddle face), and added another level of power for my serves and drives. It is still a solid all-court paddle after adding weight, but now has enough power where I rarely, if ever, feel underpowered. Perhaps it was just me getting used to playing with it, but it proved to have plenty of potential to be modified to my playstyle. Overall, I think it is a great all-court paddle with some hidden power, espeically if you are willing to take your time and play around with it if it wasn't your taste in the beginning. It is the paddle that taught me how much power I need to play my style of pickleball while refining it, and that modification can bring a paddle to life if you take some time with it. Plus, it is a good-looking paddle!
