The Pileated Woodpecker is a marvelous bird and the Erstwilder brooch does it justice. The brooch is beautiful: the colors are bright and the black outlining really brings out the detail. This is a brooch I will wear often!

Pileated Woodpeckers are so special to see in person!

One rainy morning a couple of years ago, I looked out my window and wondered what those three huge black birds moving up and down our tree were. I kept on watching and realized they were woodpeckers, but the largest woodpeckers I'd ever seen! I instantly became a fan, but have never seen another one at our home.. When I saw this brooch as part of the North American release, I knew I needed to bring it home! Thanks so much Erstwilder!!!! I love the shine and workmanship of all the brooches, but this one is truly special to me!
