I have very fine straight, flat hair. Very flat at the scalp. I had an idea that this dryer might help even though it is presented as a great tool for curly hair. Root boosters have never helped by themselves. But I do use a little on my roots and then use the DevaFuser Combo. It kind of has a finger teasing effect, which is what I was looking for. Because the air is going though the hand and concentrated on my scalp, it is not blowing my hair all over the place. With a regular hair dryer, when I tried to attempt some kind of rood boosting it would blow the rest of my hair all over the place and it ended up looking "witchy". I don't get that with the DevaFuser Combo. I can dry my hair about 75% with it and then just let the rest dry naturally. No fly aways, just a nice, natural styled look. I'm giving it a 4 star because I am still experimenting with it. All in all, I am glad I purchased it and would purchase it again.
