MM540 Enhanced Pull Down TV Mount

Ok. So here’s the thing. Its a solid build. Quality construction. But the directions… Guys, c’mon. The schematics are small and hard to follow. They do have videos online, but the videos speed through the steps so fast and in one wide shot that they’re not very usefull. After a few mistakes and trying to figure out whats what (everything is a black bar) i figured the install out and made my adjustments. If i was doing it again i would spend the extra couple of hundered and have someone install it for me. Dont forget you have to lift the tv pretty high to get it on the stand and to hang a 72” tv you need 2 or 3 people. That alone is worth hiring the installer. All in all I would recommend this but be prepared to be mildly frustrated in putting it together.

Don’t be intimidated!

The Mantle Mount is great…now that it’s hung. Unfortunately, I think my husband and I made hanging far more complicated than it needed to be. We were so nervous we did a trial run hanging it from the framing in our storage room. Turns out it was way easier than we expected! We took it down and headed upstairs to mount it above our newly redone fireplace and hand-crafted Hickory mantle! Since then, we’ve enjoyed it daily! The handle makes it easy to I’ll down to couch level viewing. The ability to swivel it a little right r left is fantastic too! All in all we are very pleased with our purchase!!

This product is a game changer. My living room is pretty small, so watching the tv above the mantle ends up hurting our necks. Once this was installed, it was all fixed. And it's so easy to use! I don't at all regret paying up for the professional installation. My house is over 100 years old, and I would never have been able to find the single stud that the installer found (the stud finder came up with nothing, and he had to use a magnet to find the nails that were in the stud). He had the tools and the equipment I would not have known to acquire. Plus the fine-tuning of the MantelMount itself was a bit of a mystery to me, but not to him. It was a bit pricey, but paying for the installation saved me several hours of fruitless and frustrating work!
