Each of these strings is plain with a ball end. Each set comes with 12 strings.
This particular string is .016" (16/1000 of one inch) in diameter, and is sometimes called .016PS (Plain Steel). Each string is 41 inches (41") long.

Quick Fix

At the suggestion of Richard Ash, I bought this set of twelve .016 strings to replace all the .015 strings in my standard Folkcraft 3 string sets that I had on hand. The .016 string (middle string) is what both Bing Futch and Dave Haas use. Also, Bing Futch's string gauge calculator also suggests a .016 middle string, to more evenly match the string tensions for the 3 strings. So, by getting these 12 strings, all my Folkcraft strings sets are fixed and ready to go. I just hope Folkcraft starts using .012, .016, .024 in their sets before I need to buy more....hint, hint Richard. :)
