Is just the right weight to challenge me
I've been training rope flow every second day or so for over a year with the Ghost Shark and I really felt an urge to get my hands on something heavier. It was a big jump to go up to 3kg from 800g but I have gotten to the point where I can just about flow endlessly with the Ghost Shark. First try with this Gorrila rope and I was still very humbled. My favorite moves are single arm and despite my hands being just big enough to grip with one arm I just simply don't have the strength to get that rope going, even now which is 8 or so good sessions in to training with it + plenty of time resting in between. I personally find that I'm now able to do most two arm moves with some decent fluidity and control over the rope after my time practicing. On my first try all I could do was a clumsy race and chase both overhand and underhand. I Could get the rope moving but I struggled to move with it; which is how my underhand sneaks feel now. As for the single arm moves, it'd take allot of grip strength but I believe I could do it with more training. I'd only recommend a rope of this weight if like me you can do 10-15 minutes with something like the Ghost Shark without feeling very sore at all, and you are fairly tapped into using everything in your body to move the rope. Not just your upper body and arms! If you don't quite fit that discription you should go for a lighter heavy rope like 1.5 - 2kg. Otherwise you might feel like you're stuck in Race and Chase when using this rope, but then again you might be happy with just that. I hope this review is useful for those who are interested making a similar jump in rope weight as I honestly found it quite confusing before I got this rope. I wanted to buy one heavy rope that would be my absolute heaviest rope no matter how much I train so that I don't feel the need to buy more. My personal conclusion is that I'd probably get my hands on a 1.5kg rope in time and I likely wouldn't ever go heavier than 3kg! One last thing I should mention is this rope is far more flexible than it looks and it's very soft to the touch. Makes for a good weighted snake toy :)

Strong and POWERFUL.
Very good for grip and spinal engine work. The rope isn’t too stiff, looks slick and feels smooth. Heavy but not hard to use. One of my favourite heavy ropes with the Superwhale!👊🏽

This rope exposes any weakness in your technique.
I am so glad I got this rope. It is so soft that it will just flop if you don't drive from your feet through your core. Perfect step up from my 1.5 kg. White Shark. Reinforces your technique on core and leg driven basic moves such as sneaks ,dragon roll ,matadors ect while still feeling very safe. Not for fancy "trick moves". I am very conscious of running with a relaxed , efficient style and even 5 minutes working up through the rope weights to this rope before a run with simple figure 8's makes a run a totally different experience.
